Rob Leatham defends his unbroken title again.

For the 16th time Rob has won the 1911 Society Single Stack Classic / USPSA Single Stack National Championship. If ever there was a year that the rest of the field had a chance, this may have been the year. Undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery only a couple months ago… on his good knee, Rob has shown that if you put a Single Stack in his hand and put on a shooting match there is none better than TGO.

This year several hard charging contenders including 2nd place Taran Butler, who earlier this year won the Western States Single Stack Championship, and Phil Strader who in-spite of a face plant while just walking around, came in third.

Julie Golob used her new Smith & Wesson 1911 in 9mm to take the ladies division championship, while Phoenix PD firearm instructor Sara Dunivin grabbed the 2nd spot. Kippi Leatham always a huge threat when it comes to shooting Single Stacks came in 3rd place.

Results can be seen at the USPSA website or at www.1911ssc.org.

Congratulations to TGO, Julie and all the competitors of the 2010 Springfield Armory 1911 Society Single Stack Classic / USPSA Single Stack Championship.
